Louise

A project for Louise, to try out ideas culminating in a game which will teach her niche knowledge. Tony Blair did say that we were a knowledge based economy. Well, Louise has some knowledge and you can learn it whilst playing a game. Do you know how many people play games which aren't teaching them anything!

This web page will try out different formats. The goal is to put it as an online game, so potential customers can gauge whether they would learn anything from this. Some might then buy it as an app for their phone, tablet and desktop.

The problem from a computer programming perspective is how to create different games. Be it a Snakes and Ladders style, or a maze, a race car on a track, or being chased around a space station by aliens. Underneath that is the questions and variations on the correct answers.

The problem that will affect sales is, no-one will ever know this even exists unless we market effectively. To date that is a bit harder than all the social media and other -ology degree people will have you imagine.

For Louise, the problem might be to see that this can be done, then take action on that. That might sound like an "of course it can!" moment, but you haven't got my many anecdotes of abject failure. You can put someone on the goal line where all they have to do is kick the ball over the line. You'd be surprised at how many people won't.
